Privacy policy
Private by design.
Pupsolo helps you train your dog to stay home alone calmly, with a separate module for fireworks and thunder. It uses two devices: one stays with your dog, the other is with you. It has no Pupsolo account and no advertising. This policy explains what the app processes and why.
Effective date: 24 October 2026 (updated 24 October 2026) · Publisher: Tim Grootes, trading as Bumblly
The short version
- Camera and microphone are used for monitoring and two-way talk between the Dog Station and the Monitor.
- Audio and video go only between your two devices. On the same Wi-Fi they connect directly; over the internet they are relayed live through Bumblly's own server, end-to-end encrypted and never stored. Pupsolo does not create a cloud recording library.
- Local network and Bluetooth are used only to find and connect your two devices.
- Optional, anonymous usage analytics is sent only if you allow it in the app.
- No Pupsolo login is required. There is no advertising SDK and no cross-app tracking.
How Pupsolo is used
You use two devices: one as Dog Station and one as Monitor. No Pupsolo account is created.
Live audio and video are transmitted between those two devices for monitoring. When both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, they connect directly. When the Monitor is away from home, the stream is relayed in real time through a media server operated by Bumblly. The stream is end-to-end encrypted with a new key for each pairing session, and the server does not record or store audio or video. Pupsolo does not continuously store this media in a cloud archive.
Permissions
- Camera: Dog Station video while monitoring is active.
- Microphone: dog audio and two-way talk.
- Local network: finding and connecting the two devices on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Bluetooth: finding your second device nearby when you set up the live dog cam. No Bluetooth data leaves your devices.
- Calendars (optional): in the home-coverage planner, Pupsolo reads only the calendars you select to calculate when someone is home, and adds a cover appointment only after you confirm it.
Permissions are requested when the related feature is selected and can be changed in your device settings.
What stays on the device
Settings, role (Dog Station or Monitor), training progress and the home-coverage plan stay on the device. Calendar events you allow Pupsolo to read stay on the device. If you paste a calendar link, the app downloads that calendar directly from its own address over HTTPS; the link and the events are not sent to Bumblly. Removing the app removes its local app data from that device.
Purchases
Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes subscriptions and purchases. Pupsolo reads the entitlement needed to unlock Pro. It does not receive your payment-card details.
No advertising or tracking
Pupsolo does not sell personal data and does not include an advertising SDK or cross-app tracking.
Pupsolo is a training aid. It is not a safety, medical or veterinary tool. For severe anxiety, consult a vet or a qualified behaviourist, and always check your dog directly when you are concerned.
Optional analytics (only with your permission)
On first use, Pupsolo asks whether you want to share anonymous usage. Nothing is sent unless you tap Allow, and you can change this later. If you allow it, the app sends short usage events to Bumblly's own analytics server (analytics.bumblly.com), for example: app opened, onboarding completed, a training session or other core action used, paywall shown, and trial or purchase started (with the product ID).
Each event includes the app version and build, platform, language setting and a random install ID that the app creates itself. This ID is not your Apple or Google account, not the device's advertising identifier and not the vendor identifier, and it is not used to identify you or to track you across apps. No name, email address, location, audio, video or calendar data is included. The data is used only in aggregate to improve Pupsolo and is not shared with third parties.
Sent without analytics permission
These limited, non-identifying records are processed even when optional analytics is off, because they are needed to understand purchases and cancellations. None of them contains a name, email address, device identifier, installation identifier, advertising identifier or Apple Account details, and the server does not log the IP address for these requests.
- Subscription status from Apple. Apple sends signed App Store Server Notifications when a trial starts, a purchase or renewal happens, or automatic renewal is switched on or off. We store the notification type and subtype, product, App Store country, auto-renew status, expiration reason, offer type and times rounded to the hour. Apple's original transaction ID is stored only as a keyed hash.
- Purchase context from the app. When you buy, the app creates a new random code for that purchase only and gives it to Apple with the purchase. The app sends the same code with the app version, chosen product, paywall variant, App Store country and a rough time-since-install range (0 days, 1–3, 4–7, 8–30 or more than 30 days). The code is not reused and is not linked to your device.
- "Why are you stopping?" answer. If automatic renewal of your subscription is off, Pupsolo may ask once why you are stopping. Only if you tap an answer, the app sends that answer (too expensive, not working, only needed briefly, by accident, or other) with the app version, App Store country and the date. Ignoring the question sends nothing.
These records are used only in aggregate to improve Pupsolo.
