Local network

Remutto uses Local Network access to discover and talk to Samsung, LG, Roku, Fire TV and Android / Google TV devices on the same Wi‑Fi. Pairing may require approval on the TV. Those connections stay on your network.

What is not used

• No advertising or tracking SDKs.
• No Remutto account.
• No cloud TV-control service run by Bumblly.

Purchases

If you buy Lifetime Pro, Apple or Google processes the payment. Remutto does not receive payment-card details. There is no weekly or yearly plan on the paywall.

Anonymous install count

Once per installation, the first time Remutto opens on iPhone or iPad, the app sends one anonymous "first launch" event to Bumblly over HTTPS, also before you decide about optional usage sharing. It contains only a randomly generated one-time install value, the platform, app version, country or region and language setting. It does not contain your name, device identifier, advertising identifier, TV details or account information, and our server only adds it to aggregate daily counts. We use it solely to count new installations; it is not used for advertising or tracking. All other events stay off until you enable usage sharing.

Optional usage analytics

With your permission, events also contain a randomly generated installation identifier and a session identifier. These are pseudonymous identifiers: they let us connect repeated events from one app installation without using your name, advertising ID or account. Our server stores hashed identifiers with a bounded, rolling 30-day diagnostic event history. Events may include phone model, operating-system version, TV brand or model, connection protocol, failed step, elapsed time and technical error category. These help us measure reliability and investigate failures. They are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

If you enable optional usage sharing in Settings, Remutto sends product-use events to Bumblly over HTTPS. These include app opens, TV discovery and connection results, first use of a control, trial and paywall events, and purchase or restore events. Events include the app version, platform, language and Free, trial or Pro status. This helps us find problems and improve the app.

The analytics database keeps aggregate counts and a limited list of hashed event identifiers to prevent counting retries twice. It does not store TV names, TV addresses, pairing codes, typed text, photos, audio, advertising identifiers or payment-card details. We do not use these statistics for advertising or cross-app tracking. Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf; web-server security logs can contain connection information such as IP addresses.

Usage sharing is optional and off until you choose to enable it (apart from the one-time anonymous install count described above). You can turn it off at any time in Settings. Turning it off clears queued events and stops further app analytics. Aggregate statistics already received are not linked to your identity and may be kept to compare product performance over time.

Photos, text and dictation

If you choose a photo for a remote button, Remutto stores a resized copy locally. You can remove it in the button editor. Saved searches and custom remote settings also remain on your device; text you choose to send goes to your TV.

Dictation uses your phone's speech or keyboard service. On Android, the selected system speech recognizer may process audio on its provider's servers under that provider's privacy settings. Remutto does not send recordings or dictated text to Bumblly analytics. You can use typing instead and deny microphone access.

Deletion

You can remove paired TVs in the app or uninstall Remutto. That removes local app data on this phone.

Remutto is a phone utility for LAN TV control. Compatibility depends on the TV brand and network setup.

Connection reports and optional issue follow-up

If you choose to send a connection report, we receive diagnostic information such as the app build, phone model and operating system, TV brand and available model information, connection protocol, failed step, elapsed time and technical error category. Reports do not include pairing codes, your local network addresses, spoken or typed text, or recordings.

You may optionally request one email when your reported issue has been addressed in an update available for your platform. Reporting works without an email address. Your address is encrypted in separate storage, is not added to a mailing list, and is not used for advertising. We remove it from our active contact storage after sending, or within 90 days if no email is sent. Later updates do not trigger additional emails for the same resolved issue.

Brevo processes that one transactional email on our behalf. Delivery processing and technical logs may temporarily contain the recipient address. You can withdraw your request or ask us to delete it by contacting hello@bumblly.com.
