GapNest helps families see coverage and gaps more clearly. GapNest processes your chosen calendar times on your device and does not upload them to a GapNest server. GapNest does not use the camera or microphone.

The short version

Calendar access is optional. You choose which calendars GapNest uses for its calculations; event titles are not stored.

Calendars

If you choose to connect calendars, iOS or Android may request calendar permission. Within GapNest, you choose which calendars to include. GapNest compares event time ranges from those calendars to find overlapping absences and does not store event titles. Household schedules, care profiles and coverage arrangements are stored locally.

Permissions

Calendars: optional permission to select calendars for coverage calculations.
Notifications: optional local reminders about upcoming periods without coverage.

GapNest does not request camera or microphone access.

Permissions can be changed in the system settings on iOS or Android.

Purchases

Purchases, where available, are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. GapNest does not receive payment-card details. On Android, Google Play Billing communicates with Google to check product availability and purchase history, confirm purchase rights and acknowledge purchases. The billing library also sends technical diagnostics about billing operations and service connections to Google to help measure and improve billing reliability. These service communications use encrypted connections. GapNest does not send household schedules or calendar event titles as part of these billing requests. Google handles its service data under the Google Privacy Policy.

Local usage counters

GapNest keeps basic usage counters on the device, for example when the app opens, a Pro plan is viewed, or purchases are restored. GapNest does not send these counters to a separate analytics service.

No advertising or tracking

GapNest does not sell personal data and does not include an advertising SDK or cross-app tracking.
