Privacy policy
Private by design.
AsUsual writes a short on-device Sunday letter that the week still felt ordinary. A parent Approves before anyone else sees it. There is no GPS and no camera. AsUsual is not in TestFlight or the App Store yet.
Effective date: 13 August 2026 · Publisher: Tim Grootes, trading as Bumblly
The short version
- HealthKit is read on the device to draft the letter: steps, sleep, walking steadiness, Apple Watch wear, and optional movement.
- No GPS and no camera.
- Letters are written on the device. A parent must Approve before a loved one can see a letter.
- CloudKit family sync is planned; it is not claimed as a live production service on this page.
- No advertising SDK, no medical diagnosis and no risk score.
HealthKit
AsUsual may read HealthKit data on the device to draft a warm Sunday letter: steps, sleep duration, walking steadiness, Watch wear time, and optional movement. These samples are used to write the letter on the device. They are not a medical diagnosis.
Demo mode can use on-device mock data and does not require waiting for two weeks of real Health samples.
Approve gate
Nothing is shown to a caregiver until a parent Approves. The parent may edit a sentence, skip a week, or pause Sunday letters. Skipping is okay — nothing goes to anyone else.
What is not used
- No GPS or precise location.
- No camera.
- No contacts scraping.
- No advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No diagnostic risk scores.
CloudKit (planned)
A later release may sync the approved letter text and minimal family-circuit membership with CloudKit. Raw Health samples are not intended to leave the device. This page will be updated before that behaviour is offered as a live feature.
Purchases
If Plus or Family subscriptions are offered, Apple processes them through the App Store. AsUsual does not receive payment-card details.
AsUsual is not a medical product and does not replace a care professional.
